The 41st Annual Art Show: Bedford features contemporary art, specifically paintings, culpture and photography, created by local artists.
The Art Show kicks off with a Gala Preview Party on Friday, January 24, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and the Exhibition Sale continues on Saturday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 26, from noon to 4 p.m. The party features champagne and passed hors d'oeuvres by Table of Bedford Hills, along with "small plates" graciously donated by The Bedford Post and Happiness Is, with desserts by La Tulipe. Preview Party tickets are $125 per person in advance; $150 at the door. Sat. and Sun.: free admission.
Special activities include a Children’s Art Workshop led by artist Denise Minnerly on Saturday, Jan. 25, from noon to 3 p.m., with children creating watercolor bookmarks.
On Sunday, Jan. 26, from noon to 3 p.m., artist Kathleen Griffin will explain and sell drawings of her public art project, “Butterflies of Memory,” which is installed at the former Smallpox Hospital on Roosevelt Island.
Show proceeds benefit charities supported by the Women of St. Matthew's.
