65th Annual Herb Fair at John Jay Homestead will feature gourmet foods and baked goods, herbs and plants, books and gift items. The Herb of the Year--Elderberry--will be featured at a special table stocked with elderberry tea, syrup, vinegar and plant information. Folk harpist Emily Hoile, a talented Scottish student, will provide musical entertainment. Bulbs will be sold, Tearrific Ice Cream will provide dessert treats, and a knowledgeable Unit member will answer questions and demonstrate the culinary uses of herbs.
Admission is free; lunch and beverages are available, as well as lovage soup.
