Vanishing of the Bees is a documentary film about the sudden disappearance of honeybees from beehives around the world, caused by the poorly understood phenomenon known as Colony Collapse Disorder or CCD. Although the film does not draw any firm scientific conclusions as to the precise cause or causes of CCD, it does suggest a link between pesticides and CCD and illustrates the global economic, political and ecological implications of honeybee loss.
Learn how you can help support honey bee populations locally and globally as we spread the word through informative events such as our movie series and hands-on workshops (see more events here).
