Bedford Democrats Celebrate Democracy: Fundraiser
The Bedford Democrats are throwing a party at Bedford's Historical Hall on June 14 from 6 - 9 PM. With live music and a comedian, this fundraiser is meant to be a casual and fun evening of great food and entertainment. Tickets for the event, entitled Bedford Dems Celebrate Democracy! are $65 per person and all proceeds will benefit the Bedford Democratic Town Committee.
Both catered food and special recipes by some of the BDC's best chefs will be featured, including mouthwatering appetizers and delectable desserts. Musical entertainment will be provided by Michael Minard and Friends. Comedian Peter Bales, who has worked on TV and radio, traveled the college circuit and performed in the best comedy clubs, will give his amusing take on American History. He is the author of How Come They Always Had Battles in National Parks? and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The 21ST Century: A factual and irreverent survey of American History from the beginning through the modern era.
"Our Steering Committee has put together what promises to be a truly enjoyable evening," according to Len Martello, the BDC chairman. The event's Steering Committee is comprised of Thea Fry, Marianne Delaney, Simone Shapiro and Mary Frei.
