Bedford Hills Library Hosts Author Reading for Families

The Holiday fun will continue when the Bedford Hills Free Library hosts a special family reading event on Thursday, December 27th, at 7:00 pm at the Bedford Hills Historical Museum, located on the ground floor of the Town House at 321 Bedford Road. Entrance is on the right side of the building. Local author Jeremy K. Brown will read selections from his book, "Calling Off Christmas," in which Kris Kringle starts to wonder if people have stopped believing in him. Worse yet, he begins to stop believing in himself. Then, through an unexpected chain of events (and the magic of Christmas) Kris realizes that as much as the people of the world need Santa Clause, he might need them even more.

Families with children ages 5 and up are welcome to come. Children are encouraged to dress in their pajamas. Library Story Teller Kathy Storfer will start the evening with a few holiday books. There'll be caroling, hot chocolate, and cookies for everyone attending. Thanks to a generous donor, 12 complimentary, autographed copies of the book will be raffled off. The event is free, but donation would be welcome. Space is limited, please call for reservations at 666-6472.
