Christmas Bells Benefit Concert at Katonah’s First Presbyterian Church

PLEASANTVILLE, NY, November 19, 2012 – The Emanuel Ringers will join the Katonah Celebration Ringers for a free Christmas bell ringing concert at First Presbyterian Church, 31 Bedford Road, Katonah, NY at 4:00 pm EST on Sunday, December 16, 2012.

Twenty-two ringers, more than 130 bells along with percussion, brass and organ will ring out Christmas favorites including “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Good Christian Men Rejoice” and “Sing We Now of Christmas,” traditional hymns including “Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence,” “Thou Long-Expected Jesus” and new compositions. The concert is under the direction of conductors Eiko Cornelius from Emanuel and Eileen Laurence of First Presbyterian.

The Emanuel Ringers and Katonah Celebration Ringers have a tradition of playing Christmas benefit concerts together, alternating between their two churches. This year’s charity is HelpHOPELive, which empowers individuals and families to overcome financial barriers related to a transplant or catastrophic injury.


 


The concert is free and open to all. Free-will donations will benefit HelpHOPELive.
