Family Health Day

Neighbors Link community center will present its annual Family Health Day for low-income area residents on Sunday, December 9, 2012, from 12:00 to 3:00pm.  The event will feature medical screenings and health information, as well as food and clothing resources for those in need.

Family Health Day is presented by Neighbors Link in cooperation with community partners Northern Westchester Hospital and Open Door Family Medical Center.  Organizations and individuals throughout the Northern Westchester community contribute to the event by donating warm winter clothing and outerwear and non-perishable grocery items for distribution to families in need. (To make a donation, please contact Gayle Hudson, Volunteer Coordinator, at ghudson@neighborslink.org, or 914-666-3410 ext. 16).

“Family Health Day is an important event in the Neighbors Link community and key to our mission to support and strengthen families,” said Carola Otero Bracco, Executive Director, Neighbors Link.  “Educating constituents about critical health issues and empowering them with vital medical information and resources contributes significantly to the wellness and stability of the families we serve.”
