Queen Elizabeth Biographer Speaks, Dec. 6 at St. Matthew's
This year brought the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's ascension to the throne but how well do we really know her? Acclaimed biographer Sally Bedell Smith will speak at St. Matthew's Church in Bedford at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 to provide insights into the life of one of the world's most interesting and enigmatic women.
Ms. Bedell Smith's remarkable biography - Elizabeth the Queen - is a close-up view of the lively, brillian and steadfast woman we've only known from a distance. An accomplished author and journalist, Ms. Bedell Smith previously wrote biographies on Princess Diana, John and Jacqueline Kennedy and Bill and Hillary Clinton.
The evening will start with a reception at 7:30, followed by the speaking program at 8 p.m. There is no charge for the evening. St. Matthew's is located at 382 Cantitoe Road (Rt. 22) in Bedford. For informtion, call 914-234-9636.
