Attention all educators and parents! Interested in creating or managing an educational garden at home or at school? Interested in teaching your children where exactly their food comes from? Come join our experienced farmers for an informative and hands-on workshop, offered in partnership with PN/W BOCES, and learn all you’ll need to know to educate your children on the A-B-C’s of organic gardening! By the end of this workshop you’ll have all the tools necessary to establish a vibrant and healthy garden, and we’ll provide you with the knowledge and means to integrate a variety of academic subjects with outdoor work– while still meeting the demands of the Common Core!

Come prepared to work in the garden: closed shoes, pants, and warm clothing is required! Lunch will be provided from Table Market in Bedford (please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions).

In-service credit is offered based on district policy.

Cost is $215, with a minimum enrollment of 8. (This course is specifically geared towards schools and homes that have already established a garden, and are looking to maximize results. Join us on Saturday March 2nd for a course designed for those without a garden already in place.)

To Register: Go to My Learning Plan at www.pnwboces.org/catalog and select Center for Environmental Education under Programs, then click on the View Now button. Scroll down and double click on “Teachers Get ‘Growing’ Literally- Track 2.” On the next screen, select the Click to Enroll button and follow the instructions to register.

This is a terrific addition to town! I know I struggle with mounting piles of things to donate andRead More finding places to give to. With the Community Center and now Goodwill, great to find a second home for goods.
