Winter Bird Fest

Saturday, January 26 at 10am-3pm: WINTER BIRDFESTJoin us for a day of programming highlighting birds in winter.Members: $6.00 / Non-Members: $8.00


10am: Breakfast with the Birds / Winter Bird Feeding – For FamiliesJoin us as we search for and observe a number of species who have taken up residence in our forests for the winter.Enjoy the winter birds at the bird feeders from the comfort of our bird window. Learn how to attract a variety of birdspecies by offering different feeders, seeds, and other foods our feathered friends enjoy. Also, learn how to keep thesquirrels entertained without damaging your bird feeders. Binoculars and a field guide are helpful. Refreshments will beavailable in the museum.


11:00am: Bird Feeder Workshop – For FamiliesThis is a great program for anyone interested in birds and bird feeding. We will cover all the basics of bird feeding.You’ll make a great bird feeder to get started, to add to your collection, or give to someone as a gift. Registration isrequired since space is limited. Suitable for ages 7 to adult. RSVP required as space is limited by Jan 25. Limited 1 feederper person.

2:00pm: Eagle Watching in the Hudson ValleyJoin us for an excursion off the Westmoreland grounds in search of our National Symbol, the Bald Eagle. We will join ourfriends from Bedford Audubon Society and drive to the location(s) where the latest sightings have occurred.
