Community Corner

Women's Civic Club of Katonah monthly luncheon meeting

Holiday songs will fill Memorial House on Thursday, December 13 when the Hudson Belles bring their own style of music to members of the Women's Civic Club of Katonah. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. at 71 Bedford Road, Katonah, where club members will meet to celebrate the season with a catered luncheon featuring smoked salmon spread with assorted crackers, steak with horseradish sauce, roast potatoes, sauteed green beans with sliced tomato, garden salad and lemon tart with fruit.

WCCK members are asked to bring toys for the children of inmates of the Bedford Hills and Taconic Correctional Facilities. Canned and packaged food may also be donated to the Community Center by bringing the items to Memorial House on December 13. Small frozen turkeys, roaster chickens or frozen turkey breasts may be taken directly to the Community Center.

Reservations are required and may be made by sending a check for $18, payable to WCCK, to Mary Jo O'Brien, 24 Roosevelt Drive, Bedford Hills, NY 10507.
