"You've Got Mail!" at the Ridgefield Festive Home

Carol Kurth Interiors Delivers Holiday Cheer at the 2012 Ridgefield Festive Home!

The Carol Kurth Interiors installation “You’ve Got Mail!” will open Friday, November 16th, at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists’ 8th Annual Festive Home in Ridgefield, Connecticut. Ms. Kurth’s design transforms the humble mailbox into a fun, interactive, and novel form of communication to bring cheer this holiday season. Serving as a mudroom entry hall, the dynamic wall of mailboxes invites visitors to write and post letters to Santa, U.S. Troops abroad, Hurricane Sandy storm victims and patients at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital -- creating a colorful, layered installation. As the exhibition nears the holidays, the Carol Kurth team will mail the letters and spread holiday cheer, bringing the concept full circle. Vibrant, modern artwork from Ridgefield-based painter Mary Pat Devine will also be featured in the space and will be available for purchase at the close of the exhibition.

“My design team is excited to be part of the Festive Home this year, especially since our passion for orange aligns perfectly with the Guild's "Color Your Holidays” theme! We love design, and this event was an excellent opportunity to be creative and give back to the community and to those less fortunate. Legacy Construction and Mary Pat Devine were incredible partners, and this collaboration was made possible with their expertise and hard work,” say Carol Kurth, FAIA, Principal of Carol Kurth Architecture + Interiors.
