Global Village Day

Global Village Day, Saturday, March 29, 2014 (11AM to 4 PM) sponsored by the Byram Hills PTSA:  “Visit” the world with your very own passport! Taste some Nigerian Suya, Irish Shepherd’s Pie, or Swedish Meatballs; make a Swedish Dala Horse or Brazilian carnival mask; watch Irish step dancing or Moroccan belly dancing.  Can you dribble through the World Cup, is your shot speed World Cup caliber?  Find out at our FIFA World Cup 2014 Activities (children 6-12 years of age). Learn how to say “Hello” in Urdu, Afrikaans, or Igbo and see how we all smile in the same language.  Come see decorations made by our children!  "Diversity is the one true thing we have in common”; come celebrate the wonderful tapestry of peoples, languages and cultures that weave our community together.  Raffle for our young artists/creators of decorations (Coman Hill and Wampus students) to be held throughout the day.  Welcome gift for children 5th grade and under while supplies last. Tickets at the door: Adults $15, Students/Teachers/Byram Hills School District Staff $10, Seniors $5, Children under 4 are free.
