Purim Carnival at JFC

Celebrate Purim with the Jewish Family Congregation

The Jewish Family Congregation of South Salem is planning a special Purim celebration and everyone is invited.  For kids of all ages, JFC will host its annual Purim Carnival on Sunday, March 16 from noon to 2:00 pm.  Led by this year’s B’nai Mitzvah students, children will have the opportunity to play games, win prizes, eat freshly popped popcorn, make holiday crafts, and enjoy lunch including dessert that will feature delicious hamantashen, traditional for the holiday.  Also, this year we will feature an enormous slide, arts and crafts, and carnival games.  Everyone is welcome to come in costume.

This year JFC is celebrating Purim by helping local charities as part of its ongoing Food Drive to benefit The Community Center of Northern Westchester, a central mitzvot (commandment or good deed) of Purim, to feed the hungry. We are collecting non-perishable and canned food items, diapers and new blankets. Donations can be dropped off at JFC.  Volunteers will be assembling bag meals, baby food and diapers for Grace Church Community Center and delivering welcome bags and diapers for Hope's Door and No Child Wet Behind.
