The Fox Lane Sports Boosters Club's Winter 2013 Gala Dinner and Fundraiser will again be a day long bowling event at Grand Prix New York on Saturday, January 26, 2013.

The Boosters will take over the entire facility for the day (12 pm - 7 pm) including the 7 VIP lanes from 12:00 pm - 11 pm. The day will be divided into four sessions:

Noon - 1:30 p.m. and 2 - 4 p.m., for kids, families and West Point Cadets; 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. adults with dinner and complementary "Cosmic" bowling on the VIP lanes from 7:30 - 11:00. "Light" adult refreshments are included in the adult bowling session and for "dinner only" guests (less "light" beverages available for sale).

The evening portion will begin with lighter fare from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm and a buffet dinner at 8:00 pm.

Ask anyone who attended last year... The evening portion of this day is a BCSD parents' "who's-who" and the event of the year—and we expect this year's event to be even better! You know the FLSBC's penchant for fun events—you won't want to miss this.

Okay but let's focus on the charter of the BOE. The Board of Education believes its primaryRead More responsibility should focus on creating an educational environment that will help our students become knowledgeable individuals, problem-solvers, quality producers, effective communicators, wholesome individuals, collaborative workers, ethical individuals, life-long learners, and responsible, accepting and involved citizens. We remain committed to providing a high quality, well-balanced educational program that supports our faculty and staff and helps our students meet and exceed State standards as well as high district goals. It says nothing about protecting the investments of taxpayers by voting "no" on every expenditure. We need forward thinking, broad minded individuals to help guide educational direction of our schools. Keeping expenses reasonable and and in check should be a consideration by the educational focus should be primary. Although novices, Trustees Tobin and Schiff have helped true the course of the board back to the direction of education. Mr Stone who himself admitted he had never even been to a BOE meeting before deciding to run offers no sense of motivation other than Dr Treyz and his friends think he'll help shift the direction back toward finance. Mr Holbrook is no different a candidate than Mr Lipton himself was 6 years ago.
