A Community of Heroes Breakfast Celebration

There are heroes amongst us and in order to honor them, the American Red Cross in Westchester County will host "A Community of Heroes" Breakfast Celebration. This event, unlike any other in Westchester County, both recognizes and celebrates the heroic efforts of Westchester men and women, who have performed extraordinary acts of courage.

This year, we will be honoring Stephanie Crispinelli. "Failure is not an option" was Stephanie's motto. Stephanie grew up in Somers, and committed her life to helping others here and abroad. Stephanie sought out need and then, when she found it, tried to remedy it. On her Journey for Hope trip to Jamaica, she became a champion for orphans, organizing a sneaker and sports equipment drive to help these forgotten children. Impassioned to continue to make a difference, Stephanie traveled to Haiti for a six week humanitarian mission, and lost her life in the Haitian earthquake, while doing the selfless work for which she was known.

Hope you will join in the breakfast festivities on June 17th, and celebrate these heroes from your community. The celebration will take place at the Hilton Rye Town, from 8:30- 10:30 AM.
