The Food Bank for Westchester received a large donation of 800 turkeys, which were delivered by Greenburgh police and Elmsford firefighters, according to an announcement posted at this link.
The turkeys came from Stop & Shop, which donated them as part of its Turkey Express program. It plans to donate 21,000 turkeys in several states for the holiday season, according to the announcement.
