Katonah's Halloween Parade is on Sunday

Katonah's Halloween Parade has been announced for this Sunday in the downtown. The parade's return comes after it is was not held recently due to bad weather or budgeting, organizer Julia Klagsbrun explained in a letter to the Bedford Town Board, which approved the parade in a vote last week.

Money was raised for the parade through Kickstarter, an online fundraising platform. Donors included people in the community, a business and the Katonah Village Improvement Society (KVIS), Klagsbrun explained.

The parade will start at 3 p.m. behind Katonah Paint and Hardware, the announcement states. Aside from costumes, there will also be doughnuts and cider.
