 All candidates must file a nominating petition with the Katonah Lewisboro District Clerk in order for his or her name to appear on the ballot for the Annual School Election and Vote.  The deadline to submit the nominating petition is Monday, April 16, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.

Today a new oak tree will be planted near the "fallen oak," a giant of the species that lived for over 400 years in the Meadow, an area of the In 2007 a storm blew through the area, damaging the pine forest lining the entrance to the park from Route 121 and splitting the old oak that fell in several pieces to the ground, changing forever the landscape that greeted hundreds of visitors to the nature preserve each year. Following today's planting, a larger celebration will be held next month to officially welcome the tree to its new home. The planting was made possible through donations from the Leatherman's Loop, HBO, an anonymous Loop runner and Friends of the Trailside Museum.

Lisa Schwartz, founder and proprietor of , a sustainable farm in Bedford, is bringing some of her baby goats to on Tuesday at 4:15 p.m.. She will talk about raising goats - and she'll read to the audience as well.
