Hulafrog Launches Local With Thousands of Events & Resources For Kids & Families. Tuesday, March 18, 2014, Somers, NY – Wondering what to do with the kids this weekend?  Look no further.  Hulafrog, a national network of local community guides for families, has launched its latest website in the Northern Westchester area.  The site promises parents a daily dose of the best local activities, destinations, deals and other resources for kids.

Find out what's happening in Bedford-Katonahwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Hulafrog answers many of the questions parents often ask each other every day like “Where can I take my antsy toddler this morning?”  “What’s the best place for my princess daughter’s 6th birthday party?”   “Which preschool do parents love most?” or “What should my family do this weekend?”

Hulafrog was launched in 2010 by Sherry Lombardi and Kerry Bowbliss, two media entrepreneurs out of the NYC area, who needed a better way to keep track of all there was for kids to do in their community.  Since then, local Hulafrog sites have been debuting across the country.  Each site is run by a mom (or dad) as a part-time business from home and covers about a dozen towns within a 15-mile radius.

Fresh Local Info For Moms On The Go

The key to having a valuable resource to the community is being “current, comprehensive and mobile” says publisher Your Name, a mom of N who runs Hulafrog out of her home in Town.  “Our site is brand new and already has hundreds of upcoming events and even many more businesses – from dance studios to kid-friendly restaurants to pediatricians – that matter to most parents.  And it’s easy to get on your computer, tablet or mobile phone.”

Community Curation:  Uncovering The Best Of The Best

Hulafrog’s “Love It” button helps parents discover the events and businesses that other parents in the community love most.   The site is filled with content that’s added by the people in the community.   Local business owners add information about their stores and studios.  Everyone can post events for kids and families.  Parents rate that content by using the “Love It” button, helping the best programs bubble up to the top, and adding comments, tips and reviews.

Don’t Miss Another Can’t-Miss Event

Subscribers to Hulafrog get a free “Our Pick” email newsletter with a short-but-sweet heads up on popular activities for coming week and weekend, as well as ideas for major upcoming events they won’t want to miss.
