Authors at Book-Reading Program Will Cover Fashion Industry, Writing as a Career, and Holiday Cooking

Spoken Interludes will conclude its fall 2013 season of book-readings preceded by dining on Wednesday, November 13 at RiverView in Hastings-on-Hudson.

The cost to attend this event including a buffet dinner is only $25 per person (the cost includes tax and gratuity). Parking is free.

Three authors will participate in the Spoken Interludes program.
  1. Dani Shapiro. Still Writing: The Pleasures and Perils of a Creative Life. A memoir. Shapiro's previous books: Devotion and Slow Motion
  2. Simon Doonan. The Asylum. Essays about life in the fashion world by the author of Beautiful People. 
  3. Sam SiftonThanksgiving: How to Cook it Well. A guide to preparing a complete Thanksgiving feast by the former senior editor at The New York Times who succeeded restaurant reviewer Frank Bruni.
The evening’s activities will be preceded by a buffet Indian dinner catered by chef Navjot Arora of the restaurant Chutney Masala (in Irvington). The cost per person is $25 payable by check or cash at the door. Checks should be made out to Chutney Masala. The RiverView bar only accepts cash.
