Luncheon Cooking Demonstration Series Continues at La Panetière With Peppered Tuna This Thursday

Jacques Loupiac's restaurant La Panetière in Rye will host a cooking demonstration on Thursday, October 24 at 11:30 a.m. as part of an ongoing monthly series. 

Attendees will learn how to prepare seared peppered tuna at this event and will take home the recipe.

The step-by-step demonstration is followed by a three-course luncheon having seared peppered tuna as the main course. 

The cost to participate is $40 per person plus beverages, tax and gratuities. 

The menu for this event follows:

Appetizer

  1. TUSCAN KALE SALAD, SHAVED PARMESAN. Quinoa, brioche croutons, lemon-dill dressing or
  2. COMBINATION OF GRILLED GREEN ASPARAGUS AND VELOUTÉ. Poached quail egg, braised sunchoke, prosciutto ham 
Entrée
SEARED PEPPERED TUNA. Sliced garlic potatoes, with pinenut currant dressing 

Dessert
  1. PROFITEROLLE WITH NUTELLA ICE CREAM. Caramelized hazelnuts, with chocolate sauce or
  2. BAR OF LEMON CREAM AND BLOOD ORANGE CRÈME BRÛLÉE. Lime merinque, orange honey sauce
The regular luncheon menu and a prix-fixe luncheon meal will be available to customers who are not participants in the demonstration.
