LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester to Hire 100, Job Fair Feb. 16-17

Attraction Looking for Enthusiastic and ‘Can Do’ Self-Starters Passionate About All Things LEGO®

With less than two months to go before its grand opening on March 27, the Lower Hudson Valley and New York City area’s newest family destination, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Westchester, announced today it is “building” a “brick solid” team and looking to fill 100 positions during a job fair it will host on Friday, February 15 from 2-7 p.m. and Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., on the 3rd Floor of the WestMed Building at Ridge Hill, One Ridge Hill Boulevard.

 

“We are looking for outgoing, enthusiastic and ‘can do’ self-starters who
have excellent communications and customer service skills, and of course are
passionate about all things LEGO®,” said Chris Mines, General Manager of
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester.  “There are a wide range of
opportunities available for everything from retail, admissions and ride
operation to food and beverage, housekeeping and supervisor positions.”

 

During the job fair, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester human resource
executives will meet and interview with qualified candidates to fill a range of
positions in retail, admissions, photography, entertainment, food and beverage,
ride operation, housekeeping and supervisor and team leader positions.

 

Applicants are asked to bring a resume and any references to be considered, and as on site interviews will be conducted, candidates should plan accordingly.

Okay but let's focus on the charter of the BOE. The Board of Education believes its primaryRead More responsibility should focus on creating an educational environment that will help our students become knowledgeable individuals, problem-solvers, quality producers, effective communicators, wholesome individuals, collaborative workers, ethical individuals, life-long learners, and responsible, accepting and involved citizens. We remain committed to providing a high quality, well-balanced educational program that supports our faculty and staff and helps our students meet and exceed State standards as well as high district goals. It says nothing about protecting the investments of taxpayers by voting "no" on every expenditure. We need forward thinking, broad minded individuals to help guide educational direction of our schools. Keeping expenses reasonable and and in check should be a consideration by the educational focus should be primary. Although novices, Trustees Tobin and Schiff have helped true the course of the board back to the direction of education. Mr Stone who himself admitted he had never even been to a BOE meeting before deciding to run offers no sense of motivation other than Dr Treyz and his friends think he'll help shift the direction back toward finance. Mr Holbrook is no different a candidate than Mr Lipton himself was 6 years ago.
