Bernard J. Monahan, III “BJ”, age 67, died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at home surrounded by his family in Katonah. He is the son of the late Bernard J., II and Mary (Campbell) Monahan.
BJ retired after 30 years from the U.S. Postal Service, Katonah, NY and was a Crossing Guard for the Katonah Elementary School from 2005. BJ was an avid Yankee fan and will be most remembered for his love of his family, friends, his pets and his “BJ-isms.”
BJ is survived by his wife of 41 years: Florence (Messina) Monahan; 5 children: Jennifer (Rick) Bisignano, Kevin, Thomas (Loli), Mary Kathleen, and Brendan J. Monahan; 5 five grandchildren: Gavin J., Avery, Mason, Sofia and Chloe.
Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY handled arrangements.
