(Below is a letter from Boo Fumagalli's family in support of her re-election campaign)
We support Boo Fumagalli for re-election as Town Clerk not just because she is our mother, but because we have seen firsthand her devotion to her job and her unmatched sense of community.
When we were young and in daycare, she jumped right in and grabbed a spot on the board. When we started school, she became involved and ended up as president of the School Board. Though she was working fulltime during those years, she made it a point to never miss our games or special days at school. The one thing we can say about our mom is that when you need her, she will be there. She has brought that dedication and reliability to the Town Clerk's office and Bedford is better off for it.
As we have grown older, we now understand why she spent so much of her precious free time at board meetings and community events—because she took an ownership stake in this town, the very town she grew up in. As she goes door to door during this campaign season, she often says, "Vote Boo for Bedford," but in our eyes, she is Bedford, and she loves this town almost as much as we love her.
If nothing else, our mom has taught us to always work for what is right, regardless of the personal consequences.
We are proud of who she is and what she has accomplished, but even prouder that she is our mother. Vote for Boo Fumagalli on Nov. 5.
