Where: North Salem
Why it Made Our List: In the three years since it first opened, John Michael’s has set the scene for 6 marriage proposals. Considered by many to be one of the most romantic restaurants in the area, John Michael’s has an offer for grooms-to-be (as posted on their website): “If you want to propose to that special someone, give us a ring and let us help you make it an amazing event.”

Why it Made Our List: Arguably one of the best restaurants in Westchester. Just like the community of Bedford, The Farmhouse achieves sophisticated elegance and simple charm at the same time.

Why it Made Our List: Ranked among Westchester County’s best traditional French restaurants, La Cremaillere’s 18th century farmhouse sets the scene for a cozy and romantic evening.
Where: Tarrytown
Why it Made Our List: If you are looking to make a grand romantic gesture, Tarrytown’s stunning castle-based restaurant provides the perfect platform.
Where: Mount Kisco
Why it Made Our List: On Valentine’s Day, Café of Love customers will be treated to a complimentary Champagne Kiss (champagne and pomegranate), offered a unique a la carte Valentine’s Day menu, and an intriguing Martini Chocolate Mousse for dessert. But what we love most about Café of Love is the fun vibe created by owner Leslie Lampert. Lampert’s motto for her restaurant – love of food, love of hospitality, and love of community – creates a happy, fun atmosphere.

Why it Made our List: Via Vanti’s Aphrodisiac Dinner, available from Friday February 11 to Monday February 14, will feature a menu in which every course of the meal includes an aphrodisiac. In addition, Eve Marx , local columnist, self-proclaimed “sexpert” and author of 101 Things That You Didn’t Know About Sex, is scheduled for a book signing and discussion this Monday February 14.
