We all know the expression "what comes around goes around," but at the we have seen the very tangible-ness of those words.
A lovely older couple from England came into our shop the other day with some odds and ends to donate, and among those treasures were two very large very beautiful tapestries.
They were both scenes of people enjoying a beatiful day outdoors, with baskets, flowers, dogs, and surrounded by blooming gardens. The couple told us both tapestries were purchased in England and brought here. When the Bedford couple decided to move south, they also decided to pass the tapestries on.
The very next day, a young British couple, who were visiting friends in Bedford, walked into the store, spotted the two tapestries, and were instantly smitten.
They purchased both on the spot, we wrapped them tightly for travel, and in a couple of days they will be on a plane to London, bound for their land of origin.
What comes around goes around has layers of interpretation, to be sure.....but I liked this one.
