Bedford Police: 42 Pounds of Medication Collected

The program is ongoing.

It's been about two weeks since a drug collection "vault" was placed at the Bedford Police Station, and so far, officials say, residents have turned in roughly 42 pounds of unwanted prescription medications.

The collection box, which is in the lobby at at 307 Bedford Road, was a donation from the Westchester Coalition for Drug-and-Alcohol-Free Youth. It's accessible 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week.

Police say the program is ongoing. Click here to learn more.

This is a terrific addition to town! I know I struggle with mounting piles of things to donate andRead More finding places to give to. With the Community Center and now Goodwill, great to find a second home for goods.
