Bedford Police Searching for Man Who Exposed Himself

Police are investigating a report of public lewdness on Reservoir Road in Katonah.

Bedford police are looking for a man who drove past a woman twice on Reservoir Road in Katonah before he stopped his car ahead of where she was walking, dropped his pants and exposed himself.

The woman, who had been out for a walk, ran in the opposite direction and had no further contact with the man. The incident occured just before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, police said.

The victim described the man as either Hispanic or Italian, between 5'8" and 5'10", thin build, black hair and mustache and approximately 40-50 years of age. He was driving a two-door, small green pickup truck with CT license plates.

Another report of public lewdness occured over the summer in the same area—a popular spot for joggers and walkers—with a similar suspect and vehicle, police said.

Police also received another recent report of lewdness on Old Post Road in Bedford. A female in the Hunting Ridge Mall shopping center in Bedford Village called police just after noon on Nov. 22 and said that after she drove into a parking spot, she observed a man masturbating in a gray car. She was able to obtain a partial plate. That investigating is ongoing.

Anyone with information related to either incident is encouraged to call the Bedford Police department at 241-3111.

The Board of Education believes its primaryRead More responsibility should focus on creating an educational environment that will help our students become knowledgeable individuals, problem-solvers, quality producers, effective communicators, wholesome individuals, collaborative workers, ethical individuals, life-long learners, and responsible, accepting and involved citizens. We remain committed to providing a high quality, well-balanced educational program that supports our faculty and staff and helps our students meet and exceed State standards as well as high district goals. It says nothing about protecting the investments of taxpayers by voting "no" on every expenditure. We need forward thinking, broad minded individuals to help guide educational direction of our schools. Keeping expenses reasonable and and in check should be a consideration by the educational focus should be primary. Although novices, Trustees Tobin and Schiff have helped true the course of the board back to the direction of education. Mr Stone who himself admitted he had never even been to a BOE meeting before deciding to run offers no sense of motivation other than Dr Treyz and his friends think he'll help shift the direction back toward finance. Mr Holbrook is no different a candidate than Mr Lipton himself was 6 years ago.
