Bus Damaged in Fire on Caramoor Grounds

There were no injuries reported at the scene.

About a dozen firefighters from Bedford Hills and Katonah extinguished a bus fire on the grounds of Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts Thursday afternoon.

Katonah Fire Department Chief Jim McHugh was unable to say how the fire, which started in the rear of the bus, in the engine compartment, began. It happened at about 3:35 p.m.

No one was on board and no injuries were reported. Officials believe the vehicle had been parked there for several hours.

Additional details were not available.

This is a terrific addition to town! I know I struggle with mounting piles of things to donate andRead More finding places to give to. With the Community Center and now Goodwill, great to find a second home for goods.
