A 44-year-old Southeast man is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for driving too slowly on the highway, according to police.
State troopers from the Somers barracks arrested Cesar H. Zamora, of Fairview Road, at about 1:25 a.m. Saturday. Officials say he was driving a 2005 Hyundai Elantra—at about 27 mph—in the right lane on northbound Interstate 684 in North Salem.
Zamora's blood-alcohol level was reportedly 0.13 percent. The legal limit is 0.08. He was released pending an appearance in North Salem Justice Court later this month.
