House Gutted, Firefighters Injured

Firefighters were trapped when the roof collapsed on a 4-bedroom house on Bisbee Lane as they were fighting a big blaze March 15, according to The Journal News.

One of the homeowners told Erik Shilling of lohud.com that the empty house was a tear-down.

Assistant Bedford Hills Fire Chief Joseph Lombardo said none of the injuries were life-threatening. He said the house is down a dirt road in an area with no fire hydrants. He told The Journal News that six departments responded.
