Overturned Truck Snarled Early AM Traffic on I-684

UPDATE: When I-684 was reopened at 7:52 a.m. there was an 8-mile residual delay, the New York State Transportation Department advised.

The New York Department of Transportation advises that southbound I-684 at Exit 5—the Saw Mill Parkway— remains closed due to an accident at 3:24 a.m.

A tractor-trailer overturned about a quarter-mile south of the exit. 

All traffic is being diverted off onto Exit 5 for the Saw Mill Pkwy and then traffic can continue southbound on I-684 or on the Saw Mill, according to the DOT release.
