A former employee was arrested for falsifying returns to make gift cards for herself, said Bedford police.
On April 9, Christina Virgilio, 24, was charged with petty larceny larceny for allegedly reprocessing shoes in the store as returned items and creating "store value cards" on five separate occasions, valued at $482. She was released without bail pending an appearance in town court.
South Carolina driver arrested for speeding
A 47-year-old resident of Hilton Head, SC was arrested for speeding and driving with a suspended license, said police. On April 9 Martin Steward Ormon was pulled over on Route 121/Old Post Road, near Upper Hook Road, for driving 65 mph in a 45 mph zone. A computer check showed that Ormon had an active suspension in the state of New York. He was charged with third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a car and speeding. He was released without bail pending a return to town court.
Criminal mischief reported at B&B Auto Body
A dispute over insurance costs led to a case of "criminal mischief" between an auto insurance adjustor and a car owner, say police. Around 10:30 a.m. on April 9, police received a cal from B & B Auto Body in Bedford Hills regarding an argument between a representative from Progressive Insurance and a car owner which allegedly led to a car owner "smashing his hand" on the insurance rep's laptop computer.
