Man Arrested for Public Lewdness: Updated

A man admitted he exposed himself to female drivers on Route 35.

Updated, Aug. 14:

Peter Keegan, a 20 year old Somers man, was arrested on Aug. 10 and charged with public lewdness, a B misdemeanor, police said Tuesday.

After police located the suspect and interviewed him, he admitted to exposing himself in public. He was arrested, processed and released without bail pending a return to town court.

 A female driver in Katonah reported that a man driving the car next to hers indecently exposed himself to her and her female passengers.

The resident phoned the incident into Bedford police on Aug. 5 at 11:40 p.m. She said a male driver had "fondled himself" while waiting at a stop light headed westbound on Route 35.

The woman obtained a plate number and Bedford police are investigating.
