Police: Man Arrested Had Hashish, Switchblade

A 22-year-old New Rochelle man is accused of possessing hashish and a switchblade after he was pulled over on Interstate 684 in Bedford, state police announced.

The man was arrested on Tuesday, just before noon, after police stopped him for allegedly driving at 87 miles per hour in a 65-mph area. Police then claim that .2 ounces of the drug was found, along with the switchblade. 

The charges include seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The man is due in Bedford's local court on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m., according to police.
