Troopers Charge Mount Kisco Man with DWI

State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 20-year-old Mount Kisco man is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated following an accident in Cortlandt, according to officials.

State troopers arrested Beaslim O. Duarte-Chacon at about 6:15 Saturday morning. The accident occurred a short time earlier, around 5:40. Police did not report any injuries.

Duarte-Chacon is facing the DWI charge, as well as two traffic infractions: failing to use the designated lane and driving at an imprudent speed. He was released on an appearance ticket.

The Board of Education believes its primary…Read More responsibility should focus on creating an educational environment that will help our students become knowledgeable individuals, problem-solvers, quality producers, effective communicators, wholesome individuals, collaborative workers, ethical individuals, life-long learners, and responsible, accepting and involved citizens. We remain committed to providing a high quality, well-balanced educational program that supports our faculty and staff and helps our students meet and exceed State standards as well as high district goals. It says nothing about protecting the investments of taxpayers by voting "no" on every expenditure. We need forward thinking, broad minded individuals to help guide educational direction of our schools. Keeping expenses reasonable and and in check should be a consideration by the educational focus should be primary. Although novices, Trustees Tobin and Schiff have helped true the course of the board back to the direction of education. Mr Stone who himself admitted he had never even been to a BOE meeting before deciding to run offers no sense of motivation other than Dr Treyz and his friends think he'll help shift the direction back toward finance. Mr Holbrook is no different a candidate than Mr Lipton himself was 6 years ago.
