Four men and one woman from Rockland and Putnam Counties were arrested during an undercover probe investigating the open-air sale of multiple kilos of cocaine in both counties. The probe found that the drug operation was based in Yonkers. Rockland County Narcotics Task Force members, Haverstraw police, New York Drug Enforcement Task Force Group T-31, state troopers from the Troop F barracks in Haverstraw, and the Westchester County District Attorney's Narcotics Bureau participated in the probe.
A Sparkill woman was taken to Nyack Hospital after getting her right hand caught in a machine at the factory where she worked. Emergency workers were able to release the woman's hand from the machine in the Intercos America cosmetics manufacturing plant.
Complaints of suspicious activity led to an undercover drug investigation and raid of a West Nyack home. Numerous prescription drug medications including oxycodone, opana, and xanax with an approximate $2,000 street value were found at the home.

When a blue Toyota Paseo flipped on the Hutchinson River Parkway near the Mamaroneck Ave. exit, motorists passing the scene apparently helped the driver out of the car before emergency workers responded to the scene. It is believed the driver was the only person in the car and did not sustain serious injuries.
A Connecticut woman driving with a revoked license drove her Porsche onto a Port Chester sidewalk and was charged with felony drunken driving. A village police officer spotted the car on the sidewalk and the driver took off and drove through a red traffic signal. Police say the driver was uncooperative with village officers and when she was arraigned in Port Chester Village Court.
The sound of pellets hitting a bathroom window caused a 55-year-old Port Chester man to take cover. Police observed the window had been several times. No one was injured.
