Debate in Westchester County Executive’s Race Set for Oct. 2

Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino and his Democratic challenger, New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramsom, will square off in White Plains for their debate on Oct. 2. The event is being organized by the Westchester Business Council.

The Business Council of Westchester is arranging the a debate in this year's race for the Westchester County executive's seat on Oct. 2 in White Plains. 

Incumbent Robert Astorino, a Republican, will square off against Noam Bramson, a Democrat and the current mayor of New Rochelle, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. inside the Reckson Metro Center Auditorium, located at 360 Hamilton Ave. 

The debate is being moderated by Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion at Marist College. A panel composed of the Business Council of Westchester members representing various sectors of the local economy will pose questions to both candidates. 

SL Green Realty Corp. is hosting the debate, while Verizon is sponsoring it.

The event is only open to members of the Business Council. Future members have the option of being placed on a waiting list.
