Katonah's Don Scott to Run for Supervisor

Bedford Republicans have announced a slate of candidates they're endorsing for fall elections and Don Scott is their choice to replace current supervisor, Lee Roberts, who recently announced she didn't plan to run for re-election.

The slate also includes Mary Beth Kass, a founding member of Bedford 2020, to replace Peter Chryssos on the town board. Francis Corcoran will run to keep his seat on the board, and Lisbeth "Boo" Fumagalli and Erik Jacobsen will run for re-election as town clerk and town justice, respectively.

“Bedford has long benefited from the strong leadership of Lee Roberts and Peter Chryssos who have made important decisions in often difficult times, “ said Luke Vander Linden, Committee Vice-Chair. “We need to make sure whoever replaces them has experience—in our town government, yes, but also with the many dynamic community groups that contribute significantly to our quality of life here—to honor and build upon the work they've done. Our committee took the responsibility of finding the right candidates very seriously and I'm proud that both Don and Mary Beth have stepped forward to join Francis, Boo and Erik on our team, to continue their long-time dedication to our town.”

Scott will face off against Democratic town board member, Chris Burdick, for Bedford's top post. Click here for more on the Democratic candidates.
