Trustco Bank Plans Move to Katonah

Trustco Bank is looking to establish a location in downtown Katonah, according to information in tonight's Bedford Planning Board agenda and packet.

The bank location is for 18 Woods Bridge Road, which is currently vacant.

An amendment to the property's existing site plan is being sought, according to a letter to the board from Peter J. Helmes, the proposal's architect. The changes requested related to the amendment, Helmes wrote, include small change the landscaping plan and lighting. The original site plan approval given for allowing a bank was made by the planning board in 2005.

Trustco has several locations nationally, according to its website, including in Bedford Hills and Mount Kisco.

Trustco is a tenant of the building's owner, Katonah Retail Properties, LLC, Helmes wrote. The site was acquired earlier this year, according to Royal Properties, the broker for the deal. The acquisition announcement also notes that the building is 2,560 square feet on a site of 0.25 acres.

The board meets tonight at 8 p.m. at the town annex building at 425 Cherry St. in Bedford Hills. For more details on the proposal, and other items on the agenda, click here for the agenda and its packet materials.
