The in-town spring season has 6 divisions: A (1st & 2nd grade), AA (3rd & 4th grade), AAA (5th grade), Majors (6th & 7th grade under 13), Juniors (7th grade over 13 & 8th grade), Seniors (9th graders).

Highlights: Chris Walsh and Ethan Falconer continued their hot hitting with 5 hits and 5 RBI's between them, and Seth Prusko singled in the winning run in the top of the 5th.

Pirates Pitching: Charlie Murphy (2 IP, 0R 5K), Mike Giardina (2IP 0R 3K), George Lombardi (1IP 1R 2K), Chris Walsh (1IP 0R 3K), Ethan Falconer (1IP, 0R, 3K) 

Pirates Hitting: Ethan Falconer (2-3, 2B), Robert Hammond (1-3, 2B, 2 RBI) 

Highlights: Exciting extra innings game.  5 Pirates pitchers gave up only 1 run over 7 innings.  Charlie Murphy had 5 strikeouts and Michael Giardina had 3 strikeouts as each pitched two scoreless innings.  Robert Hammond had a game winning two run double in the 7th.

Pirates Pitching: Charlie Murphy (2IP, 2R, 1H, 3BB, 4K), Chris Walsh (2IP, 1R, 4H, 0BB, 4K), Mike Giardina (2IP, 1R, 0H, 4BB, 3K) 

Pirates Hitting: George Lombardi (1-1, BB, 2 RBI) 

Highlights: The 5-1 Pirates took on the 6-0 Nats in a battle for first place.  George Lombardi hit a long two run single in the first that helped the Pirates to an early 3-0 lead.  However, it wasn't enough as the Nats scored two in the 2nd and one in the 3rd to tie the game and then scored the winning run on four walks in the top of the 6th.  Brett pitched a scoreless 5th and 6th for the Nats.  The Pirates had the tying run on second with no one out in the bottom of the 6th before Brett struck out the side to end the game.

CARDINALS PITCHING: Jones (2 IP, 3K), Martin (2 IP, 1K), Casey (1 IP, 1K), Cassone (1 IP, 2K)

ROCKIES PITCHING: Alfredo (2 IP), Shippee (2 IP), Kohlhagen (1 IP, 1K) Campbell (1 IP) 

CARDINALS HITTING: Casper (2-4, RBI) Martin (2-3) Casey (1-4, 2B, RBI) 

ROCKIES HITTING: Polemeni-Hegarty (2-3, 2B, 2 RBI) Shippee (2-3, 2 RBI) Kohlhagen (2-3, RBI) Campbell (1-4, 2 RBI) 

In a low-scoring In-Town contest, the Rockies bested the Cardinals 8-4.  The Rockies' offensive attack was led by Matt Polemeni-Hegarty (2-3 with a double and 2 RBI), Lucas Shippee (2-3 with 2 RBI), Alex Kohlhagen (2-3 with an RBI), Kyle Campbell (1-4 with 2 RBI) and Tom Alfredo (1-2, 2B).   The Cardinals' offensive charge was led by Brian Casper (2-4 with an RBI), Spencer Martin (2-3) and Cameron Casey (1-4 with a double).  Pitching-wise, the Rockies' Shippee (2 IP), Alfredo (2 IP), Kohlhagen (1 IP) and Campbell (1 IP), as well as the Cardinals' Casey (1 IP), Jake Jones (2 IP), Spencer Martin (2 IP) and Hayden Cassone (1 IP) all turned in impressive performances.
