Highlights: The 9-1 Cubs faced the 6-2-1 Pirates in a rematch of an early season victory by the Cubs.  George Lombardi, Charlie Murphy and Chris Walsh combined to pitch 6 innings giving up only 1 run on 3 hits and 3 walks while striking out 12.  George Lombardi pitched the first 2 innings, gave up 0 hits and struck out 6.  Trailing by 1 run in the 4th, Michael Giardina led off with a double that was later followed by a game winning 2 RBI double by Charlie Murphy who was 2/2 on the day.  In the top of the 5th with no outs, the potential tying run was thrown out attempting to steal 2nd base by the catcher Nick Petrella.  Shortstop Charlie Murphy made a great catch and tag to get the out.  In the top of the 6th, Chis Walsh ended the game by striking out the final two batters with the tying run on 3rd and the go ahead run on 2nd.

In a tight contest, the Rockies edged out the Rays 9-8.  Key offensive contributions by Sam Cascioli (2-3 with a double, triple and 3 RBI), Daniel Barrueco (2-3 with 3 RBI), Jason Dowd (1-3 with an RBI), Luke Shippee (1-1 with an RBI) and Kyle Campbell (1-2 with an RBI) were the difference makers.  For the Rays, Jake Murphy (2-3 with a double and an RBI), Steven Palmesi (3-3) and Josh Rubin (2-3) led the charge.  On the pitching side, the Rockies' Shippee, Campbell, Will Palmieri, Tom Alfredo, Alex Kohlhagen and Jason Weinhaus each tossed an inning apiece, while the Rays' Murphy and Rubin went 2 innings apiece, and Palmesi and Jake Heffler each tossed an inning.

In a see-saw battle, the Rockies and Cardinals played to a hard-fought 10-10 tie.  The Rockies' offensive charge was led by Sam Cascioli (3-4 with a triple, double and an RBI), Kyle Campbell (2-3 with 2 RBI), Matt Polemeni-Hegarty (1-3 with a double and 2 RBI), and Jason Weinhaus (2-3 with an RBI), while the Cardinals had key contributions from Christian Stelutti (2-3 with 2 RBI), Cameron Casey (2-3 with 2 RBI) and Brian Casper (2-4 with a double and an RBI).  On the hill, the Rockies' Campbell, Weinhaus, Luke Shippee, Alex Kohlhagen, Will Palmieri and Tom Alfredo each threw an inning, while the Cardinals' Hayden Cassone, Jamie Miller and Spencer Martin each tossed 2 innings.

The Orioles bested the Rockies 8-4 in a Saturday contest at Town Park.  The Rockies' offensive attack was led by Luke Shippee (2-3 with a double and 2 RBI), Ryan Cavanagh (1-2 with an RBI), Alex Kohlagen (2 walks and an RBI) and Kyle Campbell (3 walks), while the Orioles' charge was led by Sean White (2-2 with 2 RBI), Richard Wright (2-3 with a double and 3 RBI), Jared Kersh (1-1 with a sac fly), Eric Decaminada (1-2 with a double and RBI) and Alex Rajovic (1-2 with an RBI).  On the pitching side, the Rockies' Shippee, Cavanagah, Kohlhagen, Tom Alfredo and Jason Weinhaus each threw an inning, while the Orioles sent Rajovic and Kersh to the hill for 2 innings apiece, and White and Patrick Healy for an inning apiece.
