8 Authors will be at Fox Lane Middle School Tonight

Eight authors will be appearing at Fox Lane Middle School for an event tonight, according to an announcement sent out.

The gathering, which will involve readings, is called "Why Words Matter: 8 Novelists to Speak About Writing, Reading and Life" and it starts at 6 p.m. The event coincides with one of the school's book fair dates, which will also be tonight and go from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The authors are Michael Northrop; Gae Polisner; Jude Watson; Rachel Vail; Barbara Dee; Nora Raleigh Baskin; Rebecca Stead; James Howe.

Author Lena Roy, who is the granddaughter of Madeleine L'Engle, was the one who arranged the readings, according to the announcement.

The school's book fair will continue for several following dates, according to the announcement. It will be held Dec. 6, Dec. 9 and Dec. 10 - the dates are each from 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. - and Dec. 11 from 7:15 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
