Mt. Kisco, Bedford Hills Elementary Open Monday, Others TBA

Bedford Central schools will be at least partially—if not fully—open Monday.

The Bedford Central School District released this statement Friday afternoon:

This is an update from the Bedford Central School District.  It is possible, and we only mean possible at this point, that all schools could have electric power and available to be open on Monday. If not all schools, we will open schools on a school-by-school basis each day.

As of today, Friday, Mt. Kisco and Bedford Hills Elementary Schools will be open for students Monday. We should know more about all other schools over the weekend.

All central office and central technology staff, and all staff for schools that are open, should plan to be at work on Monday.

If in-district Private and Parochial schools have power, the district will begin transportation on Monday. We will validate this and let you know as soon as possible. There will be no Out-of-District private school transportation on Monday.

Please note - Tuesday, November 6 was scheduled as a superintendent's conference day. November 6 will now be a student attendance, instructional day for any schools that are powered up and open. Again, for schools with electrical power, Tuesday will be will be a regular school attendance day.

Please do not take any risks trying to get to a bus stop or to school.  We expect everyone to use good common sense and be safe.
