The founder of a Bedford Hills communications company is among this year's winners of the Women in Business Awards.
914INC., which is part of Westchester Magazine and does the awards, announced that Harrison Edwards PR & Marketing President Carolyn Mandelker was among the 16 who were chosen.
Reacting to the selection, Mandelker said "I think it's terrific," and said she was "very pleased."
Mandelker talked about how she and Harrison Edwards have been honored before. Her company, which she founded in 1987, has won approximately 150 awards in its history. In 1999, she won a Matrix Award from Women in Communications.
914INC. did profile stories on each of the winners for its Q4 issue, it announced, which is now for sale. On Nov. 21 there will be a celebration for the winners with a luncheon at Tarrytown's Doubletree by Hilton. Sharon Epperson, who is a reporter for CNBC, will attend and be the event's keynote speaker.
