Support MHA and help promote mental health and wellness at MHA on the move: Run/Walk - a 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Kids’ Race - on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Yorktown Heights. The Kids’ Race begins at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk Begins at 9:45 a.m. Racers and walkers can register individually or create teams. The Westchester Road Runners Club will time the race and medals are awarded to the top three male and female runners in each age category. The family-oriented event includes games, food and entertainment. Register at the park!

The Board of Education believes its primary…Read More responsibility should focus on creating an educational environment that will help our students become knowledgeable individuals, problem-solvers, quality producers, effective communicators, wholesome individuals, collaborative workers, ethical individuals, life-long learners, and responsible, accepting and involved citizens. We remain committed to providing a high quality, well-balanced educational program that supports our faculty and staff and helps our students meet and exceed State standards as well as high district goals.
It says nothing about protecting the investments of taxpayers by voting "no" on every expenditure. We need forward thinking, broad minded individuals to help guide educational direction of our schools. Keeping expenses reasonable and and in check should be a consideration by the educational focus should be primary. Although novices, Trustees Tobin and Schiff have helped true the course of the board back to the direction of education. Mr Stone who himself admitted he had never even been to a BOE meeting before deciding to run offers no sense of motivation other than Dr Treyz and his friends think he'll help shift the direction back toward finance. Mr Holbrook is no different a candidate than Mr Lipton himself was 6 years ago.
