Join us for a medley of races in South Salem on Memorial Day. The 10K will start at 8:00 a.m. The 5K, which drew 256 runners last year, will start at 9:30 a.m. The Challenge Run, in it’s third year, offers runners a chance to run the 10K and the 5K. The running time for each race will be posted race day as well as the combined time of both races for the “Challenge” time. Awards will be presented for the top three male and top three female winners of this Race.
The Mile Fun Run is offered for those youth not ready to attempt the 5K, and will start at 10:45 am. Top girl and boy in this race will be awarded gift certificates from Treat.
All runners will receive a festive ribbon and T-shirt. The 5K Health Walk begins at 9:45 am.
Not to be left out, more than 200 children, ages 2 to 8, will compete in the “PeeWee Races” at 11:00 am following the adult races. A favorite event for children and parents, all PeeWee runner will receive ribbon prizes and a T-shirt.
This year 10% of all registration fees , which was established in partnership with the Katonah Lewisboro Foundation in memory of Molly and Gregory Friedlander and their mother Amy. Races are hosted by the South Salem Presbyterian Church.
