The injury bug has hit the Bronx Bombers hard early this season especially in the pitching staff. Joba Chamberlin, Michael Pineda and now Mariano Rivera could be done for the entire 2012 baseball season.
Rivera injured his knee while shagging fly balls in centerfield before a game with the Kansas City Royals, however even though he is done for the year the greatest of all time says he will be back next season.
For those people who are looking for someone to blame I figured I would point out that A-Rod was the person in the batters box when Mariano tore up his knee in centerfield.
David Robertson and Rafael Soriano will be substituting in the set-up and closer roles for the rest of season. Both have pitched in the All-Star game and are more than qualified to fill in for the injured future Hall of Famer.
How do you think the Yankees will do without Mariano Rivera this season?
