Three Katonah Swimmers Dominate in Freestyle

Written by KSDT

On Saturday, July 12th, Katonah Swim and Dive Team hit the road to take on Chappaqua Swim and Tennis in their first away meet of the season.  The 1-1 Katonah team, up against a perennially-strong Chappaqua team, mustered its best effort but came away with a 279-236 defeat.

In the diving event, the team was missing its most experience divers, and the younger divers stepped up.  Gabriella DeCicco, Samantha Spieler and Luna Pagan took 2nd, 3rd and 4th for the Katonah 11 & under girls.  Gabriella also competed in the 18 & under event, taking 3rd.
